The auction became a "Item No Longer Available" so apparently the seller wasn't getting the activity he wanted and pulled the listing.

That's possible. I also learned that the Ebay Motors policies are much less stringent than regular Ebay. I "sold" a vehicle last year, and the winning bidder (several states away) never paid or contacted me until I repeatedly bugged him for a week. He then said he'd really like to buy it since there were no similar vehicles in his area, but had no way to travel to my state and no money until the following month. I was the one stuck with paying the listing fee regardless.
Apparently the policies are just as liberal for sellers who change their mind too. |
