Default Pushrod recommendation

Hello, after 800 miles I was not happy with my Scorpion 1.5 Rockers and I bought Crowers.
https://butlerperformance.com/i-2445...tegory:1234784
I have two questions,
1. I've found the best and exactly centerred pattern I can get with 8,786 pushods lenght. Adjusted according to the Straub method and with Check Spring.
Scott Foxwell recommendation is to add 0.050 for Lifter Preload.
My lifters are from Morell and Morell recommends 0.030 for preload.
With Edelbrock Heads and Scorpions it was only quiet with 7/16 studs, 1 turn preload, so exactly 0.050.
My question is what length should I order?
8.786 + 0.050 for preload give me 8.836 length. At Butler I can buy 8,800 or 8,850. Which length is recommended ?
2 .. I also have ISKY adjustable guide plattes. What is the recommended distance between guide plates and pushrods?
Thanks Ivo

the +.014" or -.036" is not going to affect much of ANYTHING; however,

My lifters are from Morell and Morell recommends 0.030 for preload.
With Edelbrock Heads and Scorpions it was only quiet with 7/16 studs, 1 turn preload, so exactly 0.050.

maybe re-read YOUR statement here....
8.800" i believe is what you are looking for.
Guide pates.....whatever clears the pushrod holes in the head. Rocker roller is wider than teh valve stem so some minor offset is moot but....you can't really move the holes thru the heads...

Hi FBird, yes, I have translated text with Google and it may not be translated correctly. Of course I know that Edelbrock heads have 7/16 studs. I just wanted to say that my Morels were only quit with 1 full turn and terribly loud with 0.030 preload.
Before couple hours I checked every possible pushod length 10-15 times according to the table as in the picture.
I found out again the best pattern I have with 8.76 length. With a preload of 0.040, I get 8.80 in length.
You're right 8.80 is the length which will fit perfectly.
The gap recommended in the Edelbrock video is 0.05 between Pushrod and Edelbroch Guide plate. Because I have ISKY'S I can adjust gap and that's why I asked about gap to avoid double adjustment.

Try and use those adjustable pushrod guides to center roller tip on valve tip , and ideally the pushrod centered in the guide.
With my iron heads I found the Iskys did not have a deep enough slot at full lift.

Correct. Ball End to the rocker.
