70 Grand Prix engine installation with long branch manifolds??
Can you have the long branch manifolds already mounted ( outside the car )
and drop in the engine with transmission at once, having the front clip on the car? Thanks Brian |

Although I never had to install the engine in my 1969 GP, I would proceed the same as if I were installing the engine with headers and set the manifolds in the engine bay near the location where they will be mounted and then set the engine in between them but bolt them to the engine while the engine is just above on the mount locations. Then drop the engine down once the manifolds are attached.

I’ve always installed my 1969 GP 428 HO engine with the long branch manifolds already attached to the engine.
