Wow, amazing car!
Spaar Pontiac sold quite a few high performance cars back in the day. I had a Verdoro Green '69 GTO that came from that dealer, and knew of several other GTOs from Spaar when I lived in the Lehigh Valley in the 1980s.

Spaar Pontiac was my local dealership, I grew up 5 miles away. And you are correct, a lot of high performance cars were sold through them even though they were not too crazy about it. The owners thought they were too much trouble.
I really like this 2+2, so much so that I test drove this same car and tried to trade my 1970 Formula 400 Firebird at Spaars in the mid-'70's when they had it on their used car lot. When I asked them to repair the slipping clutch and true the front brake drums they suddenly told me the car was already sold! So glad to see it survived all these years !! Sorry, didn't mean to hijack this thread. |

Would consider a trade for an equally as nice and documented GTO. Prefer 64~67 year models, four speeds only.
