Default e85

My stuff is still in the box, but i have learned that Hooter on here is running his holley efi on e85 at 13;1 with his cv1 540 or 565 combo. thats impressive to me. He reports its great but he has a hard time keeping heat in the motor. I would guess it is fat, but i do not know the tables or the combo.
Is anyone else planning on e85 with a terminator and a flex sensor?

Yes, me. First rough tune will be on race fuel though. After a couple months I plan to switch to E85. Holley Terminator X, individual coil near plug, 484” with stock highports. 13.8 compression, Northwind, 105mm TB, 100lb injectors. My number is finally up in line and it’s going in to the shop in the next two weeks

It would be great to hear from others with experience

My 400 is 11.5:1 and I experimented with E85. Not keeping heat is a thing, I went back to a hotter thermostat and ran a #5 heat range NGK plug. My Wideband measures in lambda and internally scales to gasoline. I was told when tuning E85 just use the same gasoline scale and it ran perfect. Made tuning much easier too when setting up the E85 scaler between ethanol content %ages.

I believe Scott65 is running a flex sensor for E-gas with his EFI system.

May want to contact him if he doesn't see this thread.

I use it in the summertime and go back to gasoline(E10 or less) for the winter. I've not had any issues with keeping heat in the engine. However, I do use a thermostat, and I do have the afr right. ( Fairly lean for idle and low load cruise conditions. FWIW
