I currently have a clock in my '71 lemans dash and want to replace it with a one wire tach from a '70. The car still has points. Sounds like I just connect the single brown wire to the neg coil terminal and ground thru the mounts. Should I have any other concerns? Was a special coil used? Thanks.

I currently have a clock in my '71 lemans dash and want to replace it with a one wire tach from a '70. The car still has points. Sounds like I just connect the single brown wire to the neg coil terminal and ground thru the mounts. Should I have any other concerns? Was a special coil used?
