I have one, but the year date code starts with a 6.

I've seen a couple from 76 but none from 77. I'd really like to find one that matches my date code.

Maybe a better question to ask is what kind of range should you expect on date codes. I've read a couple of places where documented 1108436 starters dated 1B11 were used on 1973 SD455s. I've got a 1972 455HO engine and I've been looking for a starter clsoer to the early March 1972 build date, and I don't think I have seen anything past 1B11. I sold a 1971 T/A a couple of years ago and it had the original starter, and I think the buyer told me his starter was dated 8 - 9 months before the rest of the car. A lot of parts are made in batch runs, and the production control people decide when to run a new batch.

Look in Chicago Craigslist, fire chicken had a 4 speed one, if you can’t find it on me and I’ll give you his number
