That's a great color and amazingly pristine for a 6 cyl 76. I'll bet not many left at all, let alone that clean.
Did Pontiac paint rally wheels body color in 76? Ever? They look good on the car but not something I'm used to seeing. |

Yeah, that car has been for sale a looong time. It is nice and if the paint could be matched, I would get rid of that sunroof right away. Would mean a new headliner too but that's easier.

69 GTO Judge in Arkansas at $57.5K NR. It is a Carousel red Judge, but missing the original engine though it is a WT 4 speed block. If this is a $58K car, the prices have come down. The color of the block is cringeworthy... wouldn't last a week if I had it, even if I had to paint it with the engine still in the car.

69 Firebird convertible in Florida at $10K with a reserve. Not the direction I would have taken it as a restomod, but it does have a Pontiac engine. The interior looks like a really nice job that probably cost a bunch.

Found the production numbers for 455cid (all were Automatics) = 350 Thought it would be even lower than that number. Total with 455HO was 321 (Auto + 4spd combined) |

Curious whether you think was a good deal? Was that car worth that much without the drive train?

About the only way I see that car being worthwhile is if someone had a nice plain jane Firebird they were really bored with, and could move everything over to that Formula. Will be a dynamite car if ever revived. Not worth HO money - but valuable. |

1961 Pontiac Catalina convertible dealer car at $28K OBO in CO. No pics with the top down? Interior is crappy. If this is your idea of cool, which I really do with the 8 lugs, then that's a lot of car for $28K.

I think cars like this one signal a downward trend, which isn't what I would expect right now with new cars being insanely high. 96 Trans AM in green/tan with 70K miles for $13K BIN in Florida. Seems low for this car to me. Has the following:
LT1 5.7 V8 engine with mild cam, roller rockers, aluminum heads, custom CAT delete exhaust, cold air intake, headers, MSD plug wires, Iridium spark plugs. Hand built transmission by S&P Auto of Bend, Oregon -- 4L60E. Front suspension includes Hotchkis strut brace. Rear suspension includes Hotchkis adjustable panhard bar and sway bar. Lowered on coilovers all around. Custom LED exterior lights. Pioneer stereo head with Polk speakers. Power stop aftermarket brakes. Tires replaced last year. Runs and drives well, paint is shiny in some areas, fading with cracks or swirls in others. https://www.ebay.com/itm/13442504308...Bk9SR4bwsbW9YQ |

68 Firebird with a 428 and badges O'plenty to prove it at far too high $100K in Wisconsin. What impresses me most about this car is the interior. That's what a steering wheel should look like and it's pretty. Heads look like they're aluminum or Chevy, but it's not stock 428 heads?

From shopping 4th gens over the last couple years I've noticed automatics, specifically LT1 autos, don't pull nearly the same money as a 6 speed. Low milage stock 6-speeds have the most value with WS6 and SLP cars at the top of the heap. With the mods, miles, not being a WS6, and the exterior wear and tear and I'd say the price seems about right.

Pretty clever painting a big block Chevy Pontiac blue. I haven't seen that before, but I've seen plenty of Pontiacs painted Chevy Orange. Tacking on the Royal Bobcat and Buick stickers to further throw people off was a nice touch.

also moving the alternator over to the pontiac side. then they snuck in the big block camero heater core/box and covered up the pontiac location.

It's been for sale by Napoli for years. First time I saw it for sale, the ask was $1.2 million if I recall correctly.
I had the bizarre experience of meeting the previous owner back around 2000, 2001. He had a GMC Palm Beach and stopped at the GMC shop I was working at that time. Got talking and he also owned a 68 Firebird Sprint convertible that he pulled on a trailer with the GMC. I'd mentioned having a 69 Sprint convert. I think he'd had that combo at a couple POCI meets, I know I'd seen it at least once. Anyway, he mentions this Banshee was in the showroom at his Pontiac dealership in Coldwater MI with about 1,500 miles on it. I think his FIL had acquired it somehow. |
