Ok here's a brief update
I have been driving the car for 2 weeks now and about 300 miles
Still runs a bit rough but that will be fixed when I get jets (I need a lot of jets)
Car drives well a little scary on a grooved road but it has bias plys so I expected that
I have had to play with the rear suspension a bit as is was binding but that's fixed and made a big difference in the ride quality I have to weigh the car and see if I need less spring in the back.

I sure am glad you didn't "give up" on it awhile ago. I look forward to seeing it not on a trailer! How about driving the old Watkins Glen race course in it this fall?

Passed the 1000 mile mark today
So far no major problems did burn up the electric fan but got a much better one car will run at 180 all the time unless sitting in traffic so the fan dosent have to do much.

Busy winter for me I have been working on a couple cars for other people. My friend toms 71 lemans convert just got into paint shop so I am back on the coupe. I hav a couple problems last year that caused the rings to get gas washed so I had to get the short block reringed. I just got the short block back next weekend and will be getting the engine back together and back in the car soon. Changes I am making are
Converting the lash adjusters to a regulated external feed
Upgrading the ignition to a mad 6al2
Redoing the headers and exhaust system to a 2 1/2" dual
New cam is a reground h320 from crane
New 3.90 rear gears
Plus a finished interior

Doing a little work on the coupe this weekend.
just finished up the headers
got the block drilled and tapped for the oil return on the external lash adjuster regulator
Found this neat little aluminum freeze plug that has a 1/2 not hole in it for my temp gauge
and got started on the vacuum takeoff for the Webber intake so I can run a pcv valve
