Nice set up, are you using headers or stock down pipes?

that sounds amazing.

I had been seriously considering getting a pypes 2.5 system for my 68 but with the "violator" mufflers.

The fitment is great quality, just had trim the pipes after the x pipe, as advised in the directions. Awesome quality, no rubbing issues when driving.

Default pypes exhaust

I agree. Fitment was excellent with trimming in the same area for placement of mufflers.

Hoping to get the wiring harness, hoses and fuel lines finished this weekend. Then, I will let you know how it sounds! I can't wait!

I emailed Pypes some pics and the video I took and they uploaded it to their web site under the installation section. It looks strange to see my beater on a site with some nice cars.

Default Pypes

Drivers side was perfect. Passenger side needed to be moved in and up about 1.5" to hit center. 2x4 between the pipe and frame, good strong pull on the tailpipe to move it in. 2x4 at top of axle bend and jack to raise it up enough. Not a big deal. I do not have the splitters on yet. Still in the box, just waiting until I'm done making a mess on the rest of the car. Can't wait to see them on there!

I wanted something different than a Flowmaster sound. Pypes sounds even better in person. It got a nice hollow sound to it. No drone at hiway speeds.
