Default 1970 GTO radio wiring.

As noted 1970 GTO. According to the GM of Canada documentation (Oshawa build), it was born with a basic AM radio - no rea seat speaker, no 8-track, etc...The radio was long gone when I got the car. Attached is a picture ( granted, a lousy picture...) of the radio harness plug. As per the wiring diagram: yellow wire is power from the fuse panel, and the gray wire comes from the instrument panel lights which I assume is the radio faceplate light. What I can't figure is the black wire. It comes from the same terminal as the yellow power wire, so it's not a ground....I've got 2 wiring diagrams for the car (including a genuine 1970 GM shop manual) and neither shows the black wire. You can't tell from the picture, but the wire is about 18" long. There is no terminal on the other end, just bare wire that looks like it was ripped out of...something? Anyone have any idea?

Looks like something somebody hacked on for 12 volt power.

I have a dozen 69-72 radio plugs and none have a piggyback like that
Power to the aftermarket radio as mentioned
