Default Venolia .040 over 455 pistons

For sale is a set of gently used Venolia 455 flat top pistons. These are custom pistons from Venolia ordered with pin oilers and coated skirts. They have been measured and visually checked for any issues or concerns. They are .040 (4.191) bore, .990 pin. 6.625 rod, 4.21 stroke. They have standard 455 ring pack but are currently set up for use with a back cut .043 top ring. I will leave the ring set up with the pistons so the user has a choice to use a better ring pack or factory 455 + .040 rings. The wrist pins are included and are .990 x 3.00 and weigh 130 grams. The pistons with rings and locks weigh 630 grams. The engine these pistons were used in had RAIV heads with 2.11/1.77 valves and a fairly large roller cam.

Do you know the compression height? .990 pins will require 6.625 pontiac rods to be honed correct?

Correct on the honing the small end of a Pontiac rod.

Compression height is around 1.483 measuring with a caliper.
