Default Whats the earlist built 69 GP?

I just received PHS on a 69 J 428 car that I have, and noticed a couple odd things.
1) It has consigned under Bulletin Agreement Dated July 30 1968
Upon reading some of the information in the packet was a news release from Pontiac on Monday Sept 9th 1968 on the new 1969 Grand Prix.

This car was shipped out on 9/21/68, why does it have consigned on July 30th 1968, when the news statement was Sept 9th 68?

I enclosed a copy on the PHS to share, it is a well optioned 428 J

What is the earliest date that some of you guys have on your 69's?

A nicely optioned Model J for sure!

I've seen a few of these "early" '69 invoices over the years with that same "Consigned Under Bulletin Agreement Dated July 30, 1968" listed on the invoices. I'd sure like to see a copy the actual bulletin agreement if anyone here has it available?... I've often wondered what it pertained to? I'm guessing that it had to do with the delivery date of the vehicle.

I'd say it's like the 69 Judges.

They didn't want to 'show or sell' the GP before the official release date.
So the dealer would 'hide' or keep it under wraps until the date specified by Pontiac.
(so some dealer couldn't get a 'jump' on other dealers by selling them before other dealers had them)

Ah ha!... that makes sense, John. Having talked to some original owners of these cars, a few that ordered theirs new in the summer/fall of '68 said they had no idea what the car was going to look like as nothing was made available to them to see before hand.

That would be an uneasy feeling, especially if you didn't like the looks of it when you first seen it!

Back to the original question, who has early trim tag dates on their 69 GP's? Given they were a rush project maybe they started production a bit later than other 69 cars.
