Default Body Mount Question

I posted this in the suspension forum but I thought I'd post it here to see if I could get an answer

I purchased a body mount kit from PY and noticed that there are 2 of the mounts that go between the washer and the underside of the frame that are larger in diameter than all of the rest of them. These are the bushings that don't have the metal insert in them they are just a pure rubber doughnut. Does anybody know where these 2 mounts are meant to go on a 69 GTO?

Thanks

Joe,

I think your right. I ordered the bushing set for my car and I thought the kit said it didn't come with the core support bushings so I ordered the core support bushing kit as well. I matched the core supports to the 2 odd sized bushings in the kit and they matched up. Here's a pic of them. The ones on the left are from the core support which are identical to the 2 different ones in the complete kit I bought. The ones in the middle are the body mounts and the one on the right is also from the body mount kit. The last 2 sets are the correct body mounts for my car as I have already replaced one of each and compared them to the originals. Thanks for the help.

GT,

Thanks. They turned out great and I over hear lots of people commenting about how cool it is that they match my license plate. Here's a link to a thread where I give some details about them. The guy who made them for me is part of this thread.

Just to clarify his forum name is pearlbluebird

Love your car and the flame job is tastefully done

Just read the thread you linked to. You were lucky you had Pearlbluebirs do yours.

And thanks for the compliment tho I can't take credit for it. The previous owner did that himself, and he didi a nice job. But, there's nothing like the original color... Martinique Bronze, and I just might change to that in the next couple of years. The nice thing about the red with flames is that it sticks out like a sore thumb, so no one (hopefully) will get the lame idea to try and steal her. LOL
