Default New '70 Judge Owner - Parts Questions

Hi there. I recently purchased a '70 Judge project car. The original powertrain is gone but it came with a complete '69 WS engine and with a correct (but not numbers matching) '70 M20 transmission. I have a set of #12 heads and also a correct '70 intake so I could piece together what would appear at a quick glance to be a '70 WS engine. I really hate to part-out the '69 WS since it is a complete original engine so I'm still keeping my eye out for a '70 WS engine or block.

I'm trying to locate the correct exhaust manifolds and the information I find is conflicting as to what is correct for a '70 RAIII. I'm hoping that the owners of original '70 RAIII GTOs can tell me what part numbers are on their cars. My car was built in November '69. The left manifold should either be a 9791637 or 478140 and I think the right should be 9797072 or 9799720.

Any and all help would be greatly appreciated!

I thought that at first too, but actually it's Las Vegas, New Mexico.

I thought Ride & Handling option was part of The Judge package.

Not sure, but I'm fairly certain I've seen it on pretty much every PHS/build sheet I've looked at.

Ram Air III, 4 speed, peg leg rear, idiot lights, tach/clock delete, and RADIO DELETE??

I have a perfect dated '70 WS for you. What is the build date/vin on the '69 WS? If it is one of mine, I would step up.

Great score! Granada Gold.....

Hi John. Actually it's Baja Gold w/saddle interior....

The '69 WS block, heads and intake are all "AXX9" castings and it has 7028273 carb. VIN is 29R135685. The sequential number stamped by WS is 0467632 so I believe it should have the 744 cam. It has a starter and distributor mounted but I haven't looked at the numbers on those yet. I haven't pulled a head to check the bores. Someone has painted the engine black at some point so it might have been apart as well. I can pull the heads and pan to inspect further if needed. I really need to know the condition of it anyway.

Tom

I could be wrong but I think a radio was optional so technically its not "radio delete".

there were 3 radio options

Radio, AM
Radio, AM/FM
Radio, Stereo - AM/FM

All got the windshield antenna

rear speaker and tape player was optional as well.

Anyone have a radio delete plate? Did the factory install the windshield with internal antenna even if there was no radio? It does have an LOF tinted windshield in it with antenna, but who knows if it's original.

You are 100% correct Bermuda Blue. Most lay people in the hobby (including me) have always reffered to such cars as "radio delete" in the course of normal conversation.

Thanks for the info Tom. I mistakenly thought it was Granada Gold because I have a 70 Judge that color. Two mistakes in one post on my part, time for a vacation I guess.
Your WS is not one of mine however the build date is close to a couple of my 69 Judges. Nice that you got the carb with the deal. Good luck with the resto. John
