Reconditioning dash pad
My 1972 dash pad is perfect, but original. I'm concerned about the potential for cracks in the future. Can anyone recommend a product that they have used to prevent loss of pliability and cracking? Thanks Chris

protectant is good stuff, not sure it will stop cracks on a 40+ year old dash but it claims to prevent cracks & has UV protectants.

I'm in the same boat ... 68 dash, one hair line crack, but pretty brittle.

Aerospace 303, or Vinylex. Make sure to keep it out of the sun as much as possible, of course - a dash cover may be a wise investment.

Once it's cooked, no product will 'revive' it, or make it pliable again. But it still helps.
I use Vinylex. .
