I got my new blower I installed to take some measurement (for the snout/imput shaft) then i removed blower and intake, took head off to replace the head gasket. Seems like there is always something!

Hi George! Is your new blower a so-called "retro" style- with all the output going through a pie-shaped opening near the front?

There is a pie section in the front and a normal rectangular section in the back. I can’t wait to take it down the drag strip.......memorial weekend!

Before i loaded my car yesterday i had to install my updated (NEW) safety harness. I normally ue RJS but I couldn't get them so I got the RCI......bad decision, I couldn't use the seat belts I ran out of adjustment when tightening them. The adjusters are 6 inches from the metal ends, my RJS are next to the metal ends. So I had to put my old seat belts in with the new harness and submarine belt. also the metal ends on the harness are backwards/upside down so I had to switch them!! I did get the car loaded by 10:30pm.

I had the same problem with the RCI harness, but finally got it all sorted out.

Good luck this weekend. It's too hot here now to even think of moving. Getting old, I guess.

I can’t wait to go down the track, I’ve made a few changes, carbs, blower, heads….. although the heads should be a wash they are basically the same as my old heads, just newer castings!

I be mad 2 passes down the 1/4 mile….. still playing with the tune ( trying to creep up on the combo).I lost some compression with the new head (my other heads were cut a few times). Best has been a 8.12 BUT I’m only running a 49 top pulley (normal I run a 47 top pulley).
My next pass I will change to the 47 pulley…..I need to run a 8.05 or quicker to stand a chance in eliminations tomorrow.
On a good note I did get my bump box finally working…..right now it’s bumping 6” at a time. The staging beams are 7” apart so it should be just right. The idea is to bump in as deep as possible without turning off the tip bulb.

So you need to stage as far forward as possible to make up for a slow reaction time. While at the same time increase your et and lowering your MPH. lol

ET & MPH are just numbers, same as boost. It’s winning the round that really matters.
