That sounds about the top of the top end, Rick. Particularly, since he bought it from a dealer whom typically already get top dollar for their cars.

When I first saw that car it was at the last dealer for approx $57k. If I would have had the funds right then I would have owned it, wrong block, wrong intake, added options and all. I think it's a neat car. Eventually I would have gotten the extra chrome and spoiler off and put a top back on it. Not because I dislike the way it looks now but I like original and it would be very unique back the way it was built.

Current owner is now trying to make a big hit but that's what he does for a living so I can't fault him. Probably never see $57k again on it.

Default sd carb

I agree that is 40% of what I paid for my SD car 10 years ago! Maybe we should get together and agree to stop buying this stuff at inflated rates and maybe asking prices will come down! We are the ones contributing to this! LOL

I bought an original 4 speed SD carb on Ebay 7043273 JF 3492 carb, sent to Cliff for resto. Verified and rebuilt by the best Cliff Ruggles for alot less than one that has been on Ebay for two years.

Cabin Fever is full steam due to the warm weather we've been had last month.

Brad is a great guy and has told me that he will never sell that car. He does own a few nice rides but that one would be the last one he'd move. My buddy has first right or refusal on it if he does change his mind though!

Welcome to the forum and hope you enjoy the crew here. Posting pictures of your rides for all to enjoy is always welcome.

Yes , and they were all in great shape . Kurt was very particular when he added a SD to his collection . I was lucky enough to get there a couple times before he started selling off .

Matt:
I will check my notes when I get home but I think the Kurt (KG) you are referring to is the same guy who owned my car before Don bought it. I spoke with him not long after I bought the car from Mike and he was able to fill in some of my car's history. Really nice guy but was getting up in his years at the time (2007). He told me then that he still had a Super Duty Formula - can't remember the details but remember writing them down. I'll dig my notes out of the file. I wrote him a letter thanking him for his time on the phone and then asked to be put on the list if he ever decided to part with the SD Formy! He hasn't called....yet!

Suprised he had that gto .He was definately a TA bird guy. The only one I remember him having was a 69 matador red raiv 4speed royal bobcat set up car and it was very nice .His favorites are the super dutys . He had a pair of brewster green sd's 4 speed and auto , 73 sd 4spd ta ,several 74 sd tas and formulas including the one he bought brand new and still owns . Also a couple 70 tas raiii and a 70 ta raiv 4speed white with blue custom interior . I don't remember any HOs but I'm sure he had some over the years, I listed the main cars but I know he had others come in and out over the years .Kurts a great guy and was very accomodating when I was passing through .
