1970 Shaker solenoid adjustments?
1970 T/A: Is there a technique to properly adjust the two solenoids so that the Shaker door opens and closes properly? Thx

I thought maybe I had the solenoids mis-adjusted but now I believe they are bad. I removed the shaker wiring harness from the terminals on each of the solenoids. I applied 12 volts directly to the solenoid terminal while grounding the shaker ground strap. Neither of the solenoids activated. Seems weird that they would both "burn out" at the same time! Is there another way to test these to figure this out? Thx.

Just ground the case to the negative and put the positive to the terminal

Put 12 volts to the terminal and grounded the case and got nothing at all. Strange that they both died at the same time. I called Ames and await their warranty claim decision. Hope they stand behind these as they were $80.
