Default '65-'66 dash pads

I have several dash pads, both AC and standard. I think the leading edge is squared off on the '65s? Unsure of any other differences between the 2 years. Lastly, do they interchange? Thanks!

Not sure about direct interchange. The AC pads are definitely different around the center AC outlet. The chrome outlet has a slightly different shape and style 65 vs 66. The push pin connectors at the outer corners are different too. The 65's have a plastic receiver in the metal dash and the 66's have an all metal one. Not sure about the screw line up on the outer, rear facing lip either. It's possible a 65 could be made to fit a 66 and vise-versa. Seems non-AC pads would be more likely to interchange. As you mentioned, the outer facing edge has a slightly different shape. Depends on the level of the restoration, I guess. I can say the cost of having an AC dash restored by "Just Dash's" has gone completely off the rails IMO. Over 2K for an AC dash pad now, in color, with shipping. I had them do one years ago and it was very nice. Possibly I have just lost touch with what things cost now. How good are your pads?

I have a 66 non-AC dash pad in my 65 Grand Prix (non-AC car). It installed with no issues.

I'm looking for another 66 dash pad. Would you be willing to part with one?

Thanks for the info, I have 4 pads, both '65 styles, and both '66 styles. The '65 w/AC is spoken for. Others are available, all will need refurbishing.

1. Different front edges
2. Different center a/c outlet shapes
3. Different center dash a/c plastic duct
4. Different l/r mounting tabs ... will not mount without some customization
