Replacement Deck Lid
Is there a source for a replacement Deck Lid for a 1967 GTO? I have looked where I normally buy replacement panels and they don't offer one. (NPD, Good mark)

Nobody makes reproduction trunk lids for the '67, so you're stuck looking for an original that isn't rusty. It can take some time to find a good one. I recommend posting a "WTB" (want to buy) ad in the classified section here, as well as on some of the Pontiac parts buy/sell/trade groups on Facebook which tend to be very useful in my personal experience.

It took me quite awhile to find one and it wasn't much better than what I had. Maybe a fiberglass alternative if you are not building something where originality counts.

Hollander shows every year as different except crossover between '70 and '71. I had access to one in a local yard (southern new mexico) but it had damage on rear edge, and may have been a '66.

Perhaps your trunk lid can be repaired. I had to be creative to straighten the lip that was pushed up. If you're in the Los Angeles area, I have a decent one I'm willing to part with.

That’s the Holly grail
Pristine rust free deck lids go for 750 - 1000+ I was referring to this old time junk yard local to me. I call the guy and tell him I need a 67 deck lid. Tells me he has about a dozen of them I go there and sure enough he does He had them standing up on the side and everyone was rotted sitting in the damp soil for the past how many years Such a shame |

I sold one of my extra 67 trunk lids 2 years ago. Now I'm wishing I had held onto it.

Nice use '67 deck lids are out there. '67 GTO's for a long time were the most popular GTO owned in the GTOAA. Most likely still are. With that distinction comes a bunch of unfinished projects, racecar pull off decklids, hoods, & bumpers, AND forward thinking used parts suppliers. To the idiot that doesn't know how to properly store nice straight rust free desrable sheetmetal... Just tells me a lot of how lazy he is.
Back to '67 popularity... this was shared regionally, it was so heavy in the 90's that several of us joked that "our" local "club" ought to be called the "67 GTO Club". As far as being the "Holy Grail", lol, having pulled & sold many many dozen nice solid Tempest/LeMans/GTO deck lids, I'd much rather be networking for a nice solid '67 Pontiac A-body deck lid, than one for a '64 Tempest/LeMans/GTO, or a nice solid '73-74 Ventura/Nova/Omega hatchback.

Yeah, they're out there, you just gotta look and wait. I went through this journey a few years ago when looking for a trunk lid for my '66. I ended up buying two - the first one turned out to have thin spots that opened up into holes/perforations which only became apparent when wire-wheeling it. It looked completely solid in photos and in-person until cleanup work began. The second one I got from a member here who had been storing it for over 35 years. It, too needed some work, but was easily fixable and overall very good.
So they're still around, for now... It would sure be nice if the aftermarket finally made a reproduction trunk lid for both the '66 and '67 model years. I'm definitely not going to hold my breath on that one, but I was surprised to see that you can now finally buy a full 1966 quarter panel after how many decades of us asking. Anything is possible.

Don't know if this is still needed, but I just saw a post today in the Parts For Sale section for a 67 trunk panel, may be worth a look.
