Default 1970 4spd console and woodgrain dash panel

Looking for the following for a 1970 Firebird:

1) An original 4 speed center console (black)

2) Woodgrain dash panel with gauge holes non-AC

Thanks

The wood grain doesn't appear to be a 70. At least from what I can tell.

correct.

That is a 1973-1974 dash insert.

Are the 1970 consoles different from the 71-up models? Wondering if they are one year only type.

I do believe that 70-72 (or maybe 73) the vinyl covering on the dash was a slightly different pattern than the vinyl used on the later dashes;
I seem to recall reading something about early console lids being made different than later lids - but cannot recall with any clarity anything about early consoles being different than later ones.
The 70-77 dashes are different from 1978-1981, in that the radio opening was enlarged for the 1978+ radios, although it would make sense that the console bracket (attaches to the dash under the radio) would change, I do not recall reading of a change to the console at all (prior to the map pocket being covered over for the circuit board for later cars with a non-mechanical advance on the distributors).

There is THIS thread, which attempts to compile all the unique characteristics observed on 1970 model year cars - I have tried to condense what everyone has shared, and iirc I have an update forthcoming for it that I haven't finished typing out...

Thanks unruhjonny. I tried looking for that specific 70 only thread earlier, but couldn't find it.

I'm happy to help!
yeah threads can sometimes be a bit tough to find... I have resorted to over a dozen pages of listed "subscribed" threads that I often search through myself - but even then they can be easy to pass over if you do not recall the exact title!
