Default Additional Coolant Sensor Port Needed

Getting the tripower setup ready for installation on the '62 Cat. Planning to use both an aftermarket coolant temp gauge along with the OE sender for the idiot lights. Looking for places to add another threaded mount but the options are limited. Initial plan is to modify the block off plate next to the OE threaded port but maybe someone has a better idea? Photos would be great.

I tried to find a picture for you but could not. I have made them out of 1/2" aluminum plate, shaped like the tripower block off plate with a hole drilled in the center and then tapped for the correct diameter pipe plug. Installed them on both tripower and dual quad super duty intakes when requested by the customer and they worked well in allowing two temp sending units to be installed.

I did what I think 61-63 is suggesting except I just used one of the aftermarket vacuum control block-off plates. Looks a little thin for the pipe thread I needed but hasn't leaked in years of use.

Just to follow-up on this issue, had a friend machine an aluminum bushing/flange to mount the additional coolant sensor in the tripower manifold.
