1. I couldn't get a seal on my 30 year old headers, so I just ordered a set from spotts for $69.00.
Has anyone had any experience with them, they are Walker's I believe. They said they would fit, even the power steering. Price was my number one issue, that is why I did not go with others.
2. I also order the 2 inch drop srpings to lower my front end. Does anyone with a Ventura,Nova(sorry for cussing), have any experience with them. I am getting scared already before they arrive.

74red

We put the Eibach lowering coils on my wife's 72 Camaro. Actually ended up with a little over 2" drop, but very happy with the results.

Went to 16" rims with 50 series tires (225 on the front and 245 on the rear) and added 1.25" front bar and .875" rear bar at the same time.

Champ, beautiful 64. One of my favorite cars.
I have the hotchkis 2 in. springs that came a few hours ago. Just concerned about the clearance of suspension and headers. All because I want to eliminate that gap between the top of the tires and the fender.

Red

Here's a link to the Camaro:

Have some close up shots of the front end that should help you see what the Eibach's do.'

The gap will disappear, the suspension will be fine. I won't comment on the header clearance. We used Sanderson CC3 block hugger headers, so we have no collectors hangin' low.

What size tires are you running? Everything cleared fine with the 215/75/14's that I had on to start. The 245/50/16's that I tried first didn't. But then I went to 225/50/16's and they work fine.

Let me know if you have any other questions on this.

Tires will be 205-70 tp 215-70. Not looking for real wide tire on the front, wanting that tucked in low rake. The link to the camaro wasn't active. But would like to take a look.
Thanks

Try it again...

I redid it. I don't know why it didn't work the first way, but...

It should work now.

On my 74 I just cut some coil off the front springs to lower it. I don't remember how much I cut off but I think it was 1 and a half inches. Don't (never) have any clearance problem with my previous headers or the ones I have now. The rake and stance of the car looks great because I know what you mean about closing some of the gap in the fender wells! However my headers and mufflers will bottom out if I get in a nasty dip in the road but its just a mild mild scrape, alot of that is the shocks that I have on the car. Back when I was a youngster I used the old 3 tube headers from hedman that were for an A body and they fit just fine. You shouldn't have any problems. I think a lot of fit problems and horror stories come in to play when you get into the bigger tube race headers and you can't get a set that it is exactly made for your perticular body style. If you want I can send you some picts if you want to see how close or low everything is.
