Default T1000 5 speed 2 door

Wanted: Pontiac T1000 5 Speed 2 Door Gas Engine (they made diesels too) Car.

Now, to answer your first question, I'm not on drugs (but probably should be).

Don't know what a T1000 is? Think Chevette. Ideally I'd like to find a complete parts car but I'll consider all. If you know of one rotting away in your back yard, a field, bone yard or anywhere else, let me know. I'll pay a finders fee (OK, a small finders fee) if your info leads to what I'm looking for.

Thanks, and have a good day.

John

I have 2 4door cars that would be great for parts or made into one good runner.

Paul Spotts is selling my old T1000 race car on Craigslist also.

All 3 cars are located at the same spot.

What is the finder fee for 3?

Thanks for the reply. I think I remember the race car... wasn't that the one with the 301? I saw the video on UTube where it smoked a Buick GN (I think). Are either of the 4 doors 5 speed cars? John

Yup, thats one of the cars.

The cars are 4 speeds but I believe a T5 will bolt right up and they are a dime a dozen.

Brad, now that you mention it, I think you are correct... the diesel only came in a Chevette, not a T1000 (or 1000).

I like the way he words it; seems with the cheap cars you get alot of nutcases coming out of the woodwork who think it should look like something on Barrett-Jackson

ADDED NOTE: This car is 27 years old and has the normal, average, common wear and tare, rust, rock chips, minor scratches, seat stains etc. from use. It is not a $450,000 dollar show car.

Thanks for the link Jeff. I actually forgot about this thread (that I started), which is typical for me. I've seen that site before and know that it sometimes isn't up to date (they canned the one Chevette in PA a while ago). I'm still looking for a five speed two door parts car but don't want to spend more on gas to pick it up than my car is worth... which of course means I'm not going to go too far. 5 speed cars were pretty rare to begin with, especially in the East (a lot ended up in Canada).

OK, Not a T1000 but a 2-door 5-speed Chevette Cheap

http://southbend.craigslist.org/cto/3704014704.html

And this Chevette on E-bay is close to me and looks like a 5-speed, but the auction does not say.

I'd buy the Craigslist Chevette in a second if it wasn't 800 miles away... I see you have a 77 Astre Formula, interesting. I also enjoy owning a... gulp... Cosworth Vega. Hopefully I won't get tossed off this Board for mentioning it.

Cosworths are Cool John!!!! I don't care what anyone says, H-bodies with the Torque arm rear suspension Handle very well for the era, Better than any 2nd gen F-body also my opionion and I have owned a couple dozen 72-79 Firebirds and T/A's)

The reason I keep an Eye out for Chevettes and T-1000's is because of the few parts that swap between them, the Vega guys are always looking for front Side marker Lights, and Sunvisor and the Mounting brackets for them, and for some reason they seem to survive better in a Chevette.

I bought the LeSabre in my signature off eBay, and drove it from Moosic PA to Michigan City, IN which is 30 miles further west than South Bend.
It was less than 700 miles. Closer to 600. And it couldn't be any easier than driving I-81 to I-80 all the way to South Bend.

It was worth every penny of the airfare from South Bend to Wilkes Barre.
