Mike,

Simply an amazing car! Watching it's progression on PY and now seeing these POCI pix just blows me away.

I've been following Hurst cars very closely over the years and I would easily say you have one of the "holy grails" of Hurst cars....with, of course, an amazing history.

Your car makes me want to see what Doc Watson really has stashed away in his warehouse. Now that would be fun!

You cannot be commended enough in finding, saving and restoring such a gem!

Harvey

Harvey,

Thanks for the nice comments.

Seems like the car is growing and creating a world of it's own.

Hope it finds it's way to a proper place someday where more people can enjoy it.

Everyone seemed to understand except the guy I caught leaning on one of the corner stands one morning when I came in. Guess he had a rough night? Pole was about an inch away from the paint at the rear at the trunk corner. Just came up right behind him, him and his friends and very rudly said "EXQUUUUEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSS Me and yanked the pole out from underneath him.

Other than that-- all was good.

Yer lucky he didn't fall over on the car. Next time hook up a car battery too it with the setup for an electric fence... that'll wake someone up real fast.

Thanks for the follow up comments.

Norwalk most likely next year if I have to bring it, this year if they want to transport the car.

Drove over 6,000 miles this trip and won't be up for another endurance run for a while.

15 days for eats and lodging is a little rough also. Only so much one guy can do at a time.

Gardnerville Nevada is a LONG way from all the Pontiac activity, so unfortunately I will not be at Norwalk this year. Most likley next year if at all. Gotta save my money.

Too soon for me to committ at this point, sorry you couldn't make Charleston.

Tod,

Thank you, sorry you were not at POCI to see it in the flesh.

Takes on a whole different feel.

Prettiest ugly car you've ever seen.

Lets see UMMMMMMMMM ??

A truck load of 1$ bills and a wad of $100.00 bills? They don't make $1,000 bills any more.

Guess you would have to see if you could stack them high enough.

LoL,

Mike

I was talking to 65 Cat 2+2 (Jack Anderson) this morning Mike, and he said he was there and saw your GP. Thought he might have talked to you too for a few minutes.

Talked to a lot of people.

Some I got names others I did not.

Everyone that I talked to were very nice. I only hope I gave him enough time as I got interupted a lot when I was talking to people. All well meaning but sometimes I got distracted from the person that I was talking with. I hope I wasn't rude as it was not my intent. Tried to give everyone the time they needed to get all of thier questions answered.

Was a great trip and met a lot of very nice people, I'm sure Jack was one of them.
