If the guy could spell worth a damn, it would help the ad. Scammers can NEVER spell.

I SENT HIM AN EMAIL AND GOT A NUMBER FOR HIM . I CALLED HIM AND HE ANSWERD THE PHONE WITH A HEAVY JAPANESE ACCENT . I ASKED HIM IF I COULD SEE HIS CARS . HIS REPLY WAS : SAWEEEE COW NO HEEE , AW MY COWS IN JAPAN . NEXT QUSTION WAS : OK CAN I FLY OUT AND LOOK AT YOUR CARS ? HIS REPLY WAS : SHOOO WHY NOT . IS THIS A NEW SCAM ? WHEN YOU ACTUALLY TALK TO THE GUY YOU ALMOST WANT TO BELIEVE HIM AND TAKE THE NEXT FLIGHT OUT TO JAPAN . GUTT FEELING TELLS ME I WOULD BE HANGING OUT AT JAPANS AIRPORT LIKE AN IDIOT EATING AT A SUSHI BAR WONDERING WHY HE IS LATE . HE CLAIMS TO HAVE SOLD MANY MUSCLE CARS TO THE US . THE LAST I HEARD THEY ARE BUYING ALL OUR MUSCLE CARS FOR HIGH AMOUNTS OF $$$$$$ . HE CLAIMS JAPAN IS GIVING THE OWNERS OF MUSCLE CARS STRICT REGULATIONS THAT'S WHY THEY ARE SELLING THE CARS . SCAM ??

Although I suspect that it is a scam, I do know that quite a few muscle cars left this country for Japan back in the late '80's/early 90's when prices were going through the roof. Quite a few of them have come back over the years. I remember seeing a '69 GT 500 at a car show about 8 years ago that had been brought back to the USA from Japan.

I still like the part about the car sh*tting in a warehouse after you pay him in full. I busted up on that one. (Yes. This is the exporter, we have your piece of sh*t ! It is sh*tting in our warehouse !)
Makes more sense for an honest man/seller not to require more than the shipping fee to get it here. At minimum the Car would be delivered if it was declined, and then easier for him to re-sell. Some of his feedback is funny. I wouldn't touch the deal unless I lived within viewing distance of his house. |

Japan Judge
Notice the end date of Dec 22, 2005 on the auction and then Jan 26, 2006 on the relisted item.
Here is a picture of the car I downloaded off the internet Dec 19, 2005. Really odd that these auction pages are still available after 3 years. Seller must have copied the HTML from the old ads. |

What's with all these ancient threads being resurrected by the same poster?
