Can you imagine getting the phone call?? "Hey Bruno......think that iv motor has anything left in it to run in a shootout against the lightweights?

Hell ya she does! Tom Demauro, Christopher Phillips and Don Keefe did an amazing job of adding reality to an outstanding HPP magazine. Musclecars that get restored to get beaten to within .oooothou's of mechanical failure is what its all about as far as I'm concerned.

Hats off to Mario Dimonte, J.B.Mattison and the living legend, Jim "set 'er on kill" Mino for racing their "show cars".

We found some more in it over the winter and I'm anxious to see if we can 12......oh!!!

Are we all in for VMP??

yep. Mark Weymouth stated it's the first of a full year of Pure Stockers in HPP. Shootouts and tech articles. It's a beautiful thing.

I devoured that magazine as soon as I got it. Great articles, great cars, awesome shoot-out and some great tips on getting the most out of these engines. I think my favorite part of the PS Prep School article is Mark's description of the burn out, launch and vacuuming up of the..."440+6 this, LS6 that, or SCJ something on the big end like it was left for dead." My face was locked in a big grin for the first full page and a half of that story.

Bruno, what is that emblem at the end of the stripe on your car, just under the window? Beautiful car by the way - looks mean as hell too, like it would make most opponents just squat and piss on the ground in submission.

Royal Bobcat emblem. I've just seen the car in person a few times. Sorry Bruno, not trying to steal any thunder.

Bruno's GTO is show car quality in appearance. You would never expect it to be driven as hard as it is. I guess that's why I like it so much!
Here are a few shots I took last October at VMP.

Hey guys,

Thanks so much for the kind words. It was such a thrill to go head to head with Jim Mino at Norwalk and VMP last year. I idolized the way he would terrorize the big dogs with the lil' 'Bird way back in the Supercar Showdown days.

A true gentleman and always accompanied by his charming wife. Love them to death!

What a thrill to be included in such an impressive issue. Hope Mark W's "Pure stock" sales pitch convinces more Pontiac enthusiasts to race their cars this year.

The "Royal bobcat" emblem on the driver door was supposed to be there in 69 when Milt Schornack was flown to Winnipeg,Manitoba to race tune the three cars(mine included) in the Birchwood Pontiac race team.

I know the red centre caps are wrong but I like the way the stripe, redlines and emblems all come together.

Thanks again guys............I wish you could all feel the rush and sound of twisting that iv into the mid 6 range. It sounds crazy!

Can't wait to share laughs and beers with you all this season.
