Default Black on Black 69 Judge

This auction will be interesting. Black on black judges are very cool.

Is being the first back Judge better than being the second?

It is if you are selling! That car would be badass with some hideaways. Looks like the spoiler, shifter w/T handle, tranny, hood and upper pan are still intact. Those parts alone help this car out a lot. It also has power discs.

It is interesting where he says "Because there was no supervision the car was vandalized horribly" , yet all that good stuff is still in the car, Judge emblem, T handle shifter, spoiler........ If the car were vandalized you would think that type of stuff would be long gone.

So the vandals snuck out in the middle of the night and snatched the engine, but left the transmission? Seems odd, but then people who do stuff like that don't necessarily come from the intelligent end of the gene pool, either.

It was once a very cool car. Definitely worth reviving...

"It is the first black 69 GTO Judge off the assembly line"

I doubt it....but who cares anyway.

Question Can you tell???

I was told of a black Judge sold new in Arizona and brought in on a covered transport because it was sold BEFORE any Judges were to be offered in any colors but Carousel. An Arizona State Trooper told me of the car and I do not believe that this is that car. Just wondered how a VIN would determine the first black Judge. Ron

My guess is the pontiac engine was gone long before it was parked. Those look like chebby engine mounts bolted to the frame...

Not that it really matters but there is no way it was the first black 69 judge built, i have a black on black 69 judge that preceeds that one by about 4900 units so his car is much later than the one i have, not to mention there is no way of proving something like that right now! unless there has been more documentation found recently, anyway hope someone here gets it done, it will be a cool car!

I wish I could get this one, but will have to stay out of the fray. Will be very interested to see what this one goes for, my buddy is doing a frame off on a Black 69 Judge with hideaways right now. Going to win the Nationals with that one.

The sellers claim of the first black Judge off the line is false. I know of one other Black 69 Judge that was built at Pontiac with a vin lower than his by 6000 units. That car had gold interior so possibly this one is the first all black Judge off the Pontiac line. maybe. Since his uncle bought the car new maybe the salesman made the first black Judge claim to close the deal. Who knows.

Bottom line it is an early Pontiac production Judge in a rare color combo. Remember they did not start making GTOs at Pontiac until April 69 due to the fact they wanted to keep Grand Prix and full size {flagship} production at Pontiac for quality control purposes.

The first non carousel Judge in my listing was shipped March 10th from the Arlington plant. The first black one is also from the Pontiac plant shipped April 14th with a VIN starting 293xxx so I guess it isn't the first.

Sweet car when new though!!
