Maybe I should paint it white to attract more attention . Or Put a ta front end on it and stripe down the middle . That will be the solution . That should keep you gto guys at bay .

I have been chatting with the seller. Seems to be more naive than out to get someone. Or he's a great writer and is pulling a fast one on me, but I doubt it.

I've been emailing the seller. He wouldn't spend the extra $10 for a faxed copy of the PHS so it probably won't show up by auction end. Good luck to him.

good luck, boys! I say the car is probably better than it is acually represented as. Looks like much more than "just a shell" to me. JMHO. Ron

Wink

The seller sent me a second chance offer of $12,600. I wonder how he knew so quickly the high bidder ($12,600) wouldn't complete the sale? I smell a shill bidder.

The addition to his description would be the one that bothered me the most.

"The cowl plate was stolen some time ago."

That would make me want to see the VIN and the rivets holding it in before handing over money.

Back in the day, racers were altering the firewalls of cars and removing anything that got in the way. I know of a true '65 4-4-2 in a junkyard that has no cowl tag and has a tilt nose now. But the frame indicates that it's a 4-4-2.
