Default Oil pressure leak.

I have a triple gauge from summit aftermarket, with a oil pressure line to the sensor. This oil sensor is leaking which is near the oil filter. My mechanic tried to tighten the washer/ oil line , but that made it worse. To inspect this washer or to replace this, is there need to empty the engine oil again, ( just new oil is in). And is this treath or the kind washer a regular size?
Sorry the noob question :-)

The oil capillary tube seals using a metal ferrel. The ferrel is directional and will leak if installed backwards. You will want to disconnect the line to check that the ferrel is installed correctly, and also that it has not been damaged. If it is damaged or deformed, you can buy a replacement ferrel at auto parts stores and online.

You don't need to drain your oil when disconnecting this line.
