Not really, but i would contact Cliff Ruggles at Cliff´s High Performance as i understand he has the best acc pump seals available.

What exactly do they mean by this?

"We will cut the accelerator pump groove on them by request for the Pontiac Ram Air carburetors, at no additional charge."

Is there an actual difference between RA Q-Jets and standard?

The RA carbs came with a little rubber boot that covers the exposed area of the pump shaft. The boot fits into a little groove at the top of the shaft.
They'll cut the groove for you if using that boot.

Were those really limited to the RA carbs?

Over the years I've seen countless QJets with boots (although not always accordion style.....some looked like a solid rubber boot)

This one does have it though

ONLY Pontiac Ram-Air Q-jets has the airhorn machined for the rubber boot retainer ring.
You may add the boot to any Q-jet (sans the retainer ring), but ONLY Pontiac Ram-Air Q-jets had these from factory.

Question

Would I have any issues mounting one of these pumps vertically?

I'd want it to be completely hidden without cutting any of the hardlines, so I was thinking about just extending the rubber lines and mounting it behind the quarter kinda like this (some high quallity rendering, I know)

OK, so a little update on this....

Sorry for the bump, but I only get to see her about every 6 months

Ordered up a Mighty Mite knock off from Amazon (still made by Facet, but cheaper than the Holley branded version at only $25 bucks)

Went with the low pressure 4 psi max version (12-426)

Added a 90* brass elbow and looped a rubber hose to the main line

Left the plugged return line as is

Tucked the pump away as much as I could without touching the tank and wired up a momentary switch to the ignition (hard to tell, but the button is actually countersunk and recessed, so it's completely invisible unless you go snooping under the dash)

Yes, it's a flow-thru pump with very little restriction (feels like you're blowing through a fuel filter).

I just hold the button for about 10 seconds to fill the bowl, then start her up and let the mechanical pump take over.

I used the low pressure version to avoid any possiblity of flooding.

Folks over at Facet said the majority of their pumps are designed to flow through and will work fine for this application.

You need to get the correct PCV fitting to the intake, right under the fuel inlet on carb. were the hole is plugged.
At your picture you have all the crankcase fumes into #1 runner.

Thinking that I need a couple of those pumps.. Firebird for after it's long winter slumbers and an old carbed Chevy that vapor locks when it heat soaks.. I didn't have any luck on Amazon finding anything under $60.00.. Snake Eater, could you provide a link for what you purchased?
