Funny, you guys made me remember the kids would sit on the fold down arm rest of the bench seat and coax me into flooring it so they could do a flip and land sitting in the back seat.

You said you were wearing them now so you didn't pee on the floor of the garage just looking at it. And anyone coming in had to too. LOL Just happened to think on this.... get a case and sell them to the onlookers. That'll help pay fer stuff. Even an ol paytoilet door too, and charge 5 bucks for an entrance fee will help too.

I didn't ask but I hope you had them on when you were trying to get that friggin Kur off of Lucy out behind the garage. Like I told you on the phone.... if it were me that mutt would have been dead right then and there. And right in front of the owners too.

Was there a dog incident with this car?

True Story:
Our dog scratched my GTO's driver's door two days after my car came home from the body shop. About 10 scratches in the driver's door. I took no pics because I didn't want to remember it. It took everything I had not to kick the sh*t out of the dog. Fortunately most of the scratches wetsanded/buffed out. My buddy saw the whole thing. He is a dog lover too. He was surprised I didn't punch the dog as well.

Maybe the dog was jealous. He thought that HE was man's best friend.

No, just an incident of another dog attacking his border collie, who was protecting her own territory. Charles dove in and saved her or she'd be dead. If it were me, the dog that attacked her would be history.

He was heartbeat or two from having his neck broken. Adrenaline is a funny thing.

Even with proper washing of a scrape on my hand and Neosporin, I came down with an infection there. Had to get some antibiotics and rest.

Car is resting just fine up in the air. No problem, it's not in a hurry. Neither am I.

Not true, YES I AM.

You might be in a hurry Charles but get rid of that infection first. Ya doesn't need a relapse from that dog slobber.

As soon as I painted my car, I turned into butter fingers, dropping sockets, wrench's etc..
Never did it with the old paint, or I just didnt notice...LOL
Everyone gets one scratch, or dent, or ding...

A little more progress here. Funny how many things require such a large amount of time.

Blasting the frame.

Getting it all back together.

Suggestion for ya...Eastwood's manifold paint looks far better than rusty manifolds...

It is available in a color very similar to bare cast iron.

LeMans Blue looks awesome on the GTO, great job!

It is really a beautiful color, when I saw the Le Mans commemorative corvette Z06 it was another care I had to have. The first year for it was 04 on this car.

Thanks Jason,

I had it that way since it was a week old, but he was supposed to do it flat black.
Oh well, I did it once, I can do it again.

Update;
Waiting on the POR 20 sttuff for the exhaust manifolds so I can run it all before it goes back under the body.

Happy New Year all.

Charles, what color was the GTO originally? Mariner Turquoise? Flat black will look sweet on that, give it a contrast between the shiny paint and bumper.

Happy New Year to you.

It was Burgandy when I bought it new.
Only stayed that color for about 8 months.
