My 70 GTO has the original 4-speed with the speedo exiting on the passenger side. I don't know if the tail section was swapped/broken during its previous lives. There is no way to route the cable under the trans, attach it to the trans-to-bell housing lower bolts and then come back to the attachment on the body brace and then upwards. If I route it over the trans, it just sits there among the shift linkage, which can't be good. Any thoughts besides remove the trans and get the correct tail housing?

IIRC you don't use the driver's clip if routing to the passenger side.
