Default 1 1/8" Sway bar & HD springs on '69 Cat?

So I'm in the middle of rebuilding the front end on a Catalina convertible that I snagged for pretty cheap and was wondering if I would see any benefit from upgrading the factory bar to a 1 1/8" from PST and going with Lesjöfors HD front springs. The stock bar looks pretty small for a car this big and rust has eaten up where the bushings link up, and the front springs are sagging pretty bad as well. I know these rides were pretty floaty by design back in the day but I'd love to have a deceptively nimble land yacht on my hands (e.g.: quicker steering box, rig up a rear sway bar later on, etc.).

Default definetly worth it

I have front and rear sway bars on my 67 Catalina, stiffer front springs and a 2 1/2 turn lock to lock steering box. This completely eliminated the original wandering floaty ride
