Default 1968 Pontiac Seat Belt Question

Hey ya'll . My 1968 GP is in the middle of getting the interior completely redone. And im getting things checked off one by one. My next thing on the list is the seat belts. My GP is originally gold, but im swapping it out for black instead. My question is, do i have to find replacement black seat belts or is there a way to simply paint mine black ? Mind you, i dont want it to look tacky and lame. So if painting it will do that, i wont do it.
If anyone here happens to have black seat belts laying around, give me a shout please!!

On a side note, ive met a number of people thru this forum and you guys are super cool.

I suppose you could use upholstery dye (like SEM Color Coat), but on the other hand the belts are over 50 years old, plus in California they've been exposed to a lot of UV rays...I'd see about getting them rewebbed. https://www.ssnake-oyl.com is one place that can do the work.
