Default 06 GTO rear end

Can you put 15inch rims on the stock hubs on a 2006 GTO rear end? If not, what do you need to change to be able to use 15inch GM rims? Thanks Steve

I've seen guys at the strip with 15"s. The bolt pattern is not the same as 4.75 GM slightky different metric-I think the same as BMWs. I think some guys have tried swapping either way but I'd use dedicated wheels the correct bolt pattern.

Bolt pattern is 5 on 120mm for BMW & '06 GTO.

Old school GTOs are 5 on 120.65mm (4.75").

Thanks for the help. This is what I am trying to do. I want to put the 06 GTO rear end under a 48 willys sedan delivery and I would like to use 15 inch tires (cheaper). Will a 15 inch rim clear the disc brake calipers on the rear end?

I've got 15's on mine. You just have to grind about 1/8" off the top of the bolt that holds the brake line to the caliper. No big deal.

Like was stated in the other post, the bolt pattern is .65mm different, but that's no big deal either. .65mm is half the thickness of a dime. Been running the wheels for five years now with no problems

Hey guys, thanks. Do you have to do anything to the rims? I don't have an 06 yet, but I am a GTO nut. I have a 70 GTO-455, 4speed, a 66 hardtop and 66post 3x2, 4 speed all original, I'm the 3rd owner. Thanks again. Steve

I'm running Holeshots 15 by 9 with a 6 7/8 backspacing. We are increasing that to an 8.8 inch backspace on an 11 by 15.

This was with the OEM IRS

These are with the Ford Nine Inch IRS
