Default 06 GTO seat question

Can someone tell me what the button on the side of the seatback does. It is just below the seatback release lever. I just bought this set of GTO seats for a resto mod car I am building and I am trying to figure out what it does. Thanks for any help on this!

It powers the seat forward to allow back seat entry.

I thought it had something to do with that since it is located directly below the lever. I don't have the seats mounted or hooked to power yet. Great, thanks for your help.

Button works both ways, that's why there's an arrow in both directions. When seat is tilted forward by the lever, it activates a switch for the button to move the seat forward when depressed. When the seat is clicked back into its upright position, pressing the button will move the seat backwards. Love them in my Catalina!

Thanks for the info! I am building a 75 pro-touring firebird formula. I am going to try and fit the gto front and rear seats in the car. Hopefully it will work. I know there will be some modifying to fit the rear seat.

But the darned motors are so slow going either way, seem a little slower to me with that button vs the lower button.

That's what I've heard. It shouldn't be an issue with me since I don't plan on having rear seat passengers.
