Default 2017 TA Nationals - Why No Love Here?

Not sure why it does not get much love on this forum but it is a great show! I'm thinking of driving over for the day if I can get free of other commitments.

Who's going?

Why is this event not in the National Forum? The lobby seems like a graveyard...I never would have found it unless someone pointed it out. I am still contemplating going.. wish I was closer.

Exactly why I put it here. It is a great show if you like Birds!

Just a guess since I've never been to it. But probably the lack of racing makes it less popular on this forum. I've asked people who have been to both TA Nats and Norwalk. Every single one says they prefer Norwalk.

Its a big show but National its not. The judging lacks credibility and its more spit and shine. Always has been and is more like a big local show if anything. Good times with folks from all over the midwest and some traveling even as far as west of the Mississippi.
There is some racing but its like an hour away from the show and small. Norwalk has both of best worlds in their layout and cant beat.
One should visit it at least once to truly understand the venue.

Hey Brew, The show had there first concours judging last year that Paul Freese and Doug Pulsekamp crafted, and recruited Dan, myself, Darrell Davidson, and others to be the judges...so now there is much needed credibility to the show, and we're doing it again this year. I think we were just as thorough and tough as we were at MCACN and GTOAA.

We all miss seeing you there, so get in your Formy and drive it on down. (How's progress on The Judge coming?)
