Where's the project car? That looks like it's ready to go. CLEAN engine bay and interior, nice body, 8 lugs...what do you want to do to it?

Just Dashes for the dash, about $1000,Dennis in the San Diego area for the steering wheel,$1300.Stupid money BUT thats what it takes.Car has some rust in the rear center of the trunk and in the usuall places like the bottem of the doors and in front of the doors.Still need to finalize a consol.Brad has the 4 speed clutch stuff for me,have the ST-10 in the garage.Have the flywheel, have the bell and fork lined up along with the shifter.Still need to get the shifter arms and rods for the trans. Will come together quickly when the painting is done.Need to get the tri power carbs restored.Tom

Neat car! Keep us posted.

Re: Dashes - Has anyone ever come up with a way to successfully recover one without sending it to Just Dashes and paying a large bill? Since I'm doing a custom interior, I'm looking for options that would save me a chunk of that large bill.

That's a solid project car. Do you still have the green '63 Cat?

What's up with the car in the background with the swastikas?

Tom, check the VIN letter for 'where the car was built'. Check the PHS for the delivering dealer...PHS paperwork I have received has this either written or stamped on it somewhere.

Cool car. Keep posting pics of it to this thread throughout the project!!

The PHS should have the dealer and zone codes on it. Find those and then see if you can match them up to a dealer on the list on the ultimate GTO site or the Wallace Racing site at http://www.wallaceracing.com/dealer-zone-codes.htm

Built in Pontiac, not Southgate!...maybe the car came to Calif. a couple years after it was built, which would explain the KHH license plate (instead of an AAA to DZZ prefix).
