got the shifter mounted,console sitting in place,just sizing things up.Hope to finish the clutch linkage tomorrow.Tom

notice the 63 linkage and bellhousing in a 62 car.WAY better than 62 linkage IMO.Tom

Tom, are you going to leave the oil filter spacer un painted? is that how pontiac did it, or something else? just wondering.

I am,no clue what the factory did as the 61-64 cars with factory exhaust did not need them.65s started them.This is going to be a driver so that stuff had no interest to me.Tom

I had wondered if the 63-4 linkage would work on a 62 now I know. Thankies Tom!

I think a 61-62 bell can be drilled for the ball,not sure.Tom

Speedo cable question - did you just run it over the top to the RH location & have enough cable?

It will fit fine over the top.Got all the clutch linkage in and working.I can tell you after doing both conversions the 63-64 linkage is way easyer to install.I got the front dual speakers installed along with the converted radio.Will button up the dash this week as time allows.Will order the drive shaft in the AM should be ready to drive by the weekend.Tom

it LIVES and moves!Got the drive shaft in today,had to readjust the Hurst shifter stops but all is good.Will get it all butened up this weekend and to the mufler shop mon.Looking forward to driving it.Tom

Rob- I,m almost ready to start. I am just now finishing the sbc in the chevelle--oil filter/pan/header problem (tight fit), scatttershield and ROD next--on the road in a week--then on to the 64', short block(400) is done and heads are back from the machine shop--not long now!!

the interior except for the dash and wheel is the way I bought it.Swaped out the auto console for the 4 speed consoleJust driver quality,pics ALWAYS look better.Have a carpet kit for it and seats need new cushions.The next owner can upgrade it.Tom
