67 GTO door edge guards
Picked up a NOS set of door edge guards at Norwalk. The last item on my cars PHS that was missing. Am looking for the proper screws used to attach them. I did this decades ago on another car but cannot remember what the screws looked like. Any help (pics/description) would be greatly appreciated.

I believe they are called a "Phillips Truss Head" screw. Here's an example I found on eBay shown with a set of NOS guards. These are what I've always seen on '66 to '70 Pontiacs. Did your guards come in the original accessory packaging? Normally there's a small yellow envelope included with the screws.

I have this pair of 1965 NOS door edge guards in the Pontiac package complete with the correct phillips pan head screws in the small envelope.
All stainless steel factory door edge guards (64-67) were secured with this type of pan head screw. Last photo shows my ‘65 door edge guards fastened with the OEM pan head screws.

66-67 factory door edge guards.
Something to be aware of as there is a long version and a short version. I’m holding the long version against my ‘66 LH door and as you can see it goes from the pinstripe to the bottom of the door. On a 1967 GTO only the short version is used because of the stainless trim at the bottom of the ‘67 door. Different part numbers for the 66 and 67 in the MPC shown below.

Thanks guys. I will look for screws like that. I guess a hardware store may have them? I do have the original packing with the instructions but the screws were missing.

Take a look at the wheel well molding screws. I think they may be the same.

Andre I think you are correct. I have a bag of wheel trim screws and they look and measure exactly like the ones everyone has shown me (see pictures). Thanks again everyone for the photos and measurements. I do have the 67 guards and have test fitted them to my door. Was a little concerned about paint damage but think it will be fine. I did this many years ago on a car that had a beautiful paint job and was able to install without any damage. Andre I still have the guards I got from you years ago. Found these NOS ones and just could not pass them up!

Door guards are on. Took a little "wrangling" and installed driver side twice to get a better fit. No chipped paint! Thanks again everyone for your assistance.
