I did not know that air bags do not deploy in a rear end collision?

They are designed for frontal impacts not rear. The seat backs are designed for rear impacts. Does (did) your headrest align with the top of your head?

Good question, that creates more questions... I am 6'3" tall. Some vehicles allow the headrest to be adjusted a limited amount in the up most position...

Hey Jeff, good to hear things are going as well as they are! Did you get my number? Feel free to call anytime. I’m retired so week days are fine.

Hang in there!

2 months in...from being dealt a death sentence...

I'm staying with my brother and his wife. Walking with a walker, exercises as prescribed by a physical therapist. It is not easy doing them, getting better every day.

I just seems like the process is soooo slow. I have pretty big knowledge of medical things. It will a year or more before my health gets up to full speed!!!

Going to visit my awesome surgeon that performed the 2 needed surgeries I needed(C6, and T6 vertebraes) next Tues, the 27th. Looking forward to his accessing of the healing going on in my body.

The hurdles I am looking to overcome, are my ability to live in my home, by myself, again. And to drive.

Another is to not be dependent on pain meds. I almost have that whipped, now. I have had numerous kidney stone surgeries in the past. I don't fall prey the continuous need for pain meds. I understand greatly though how it CAN happen!!!

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the prayers!!!

Thank You, Good Friends!!!
Jeff

Glad you are recovering and I know you'd like it to be faster. You'll get there!

Also glad you have support and care - that is a blessing for sure. What you are going through is not easy so be kind to yourself.

Everyone keep praying!!!
I am back in hospital. Got to feeling so dad gum bad, I had my brother's wife take me to ER.

(My kind brother and his wife are empty nester, and planned for me to do some recoup time at their house, before the need occurred)

They say I have an injured kidney. The ONLY way it could have been, injured, was in wreck. Not sure how it escaped earlier detection. Been nearly 3 months.

Again. I WILL BE HEALED!!! Thank You, Lord!!!

Oh BTW, there's little things that can affect tour body after surgery on any part of your back..,..I took my last pain.med last Tuesday, same day I had a great checkup from my surgeon. I was hoping I might get some more pain meds upon that visit. He said they don't prescribe pains at that stage in recovery. No real biggie, to me. I had already stretched what pills I had, about 2 weeks longer than dosage. Told myself, I'll be fine.

One of the things your body can throw at you, is the inability to sleep!!! I got some pain meds here an hour ago. Feeling much better!!!!

Thanks. again, friends!!!
Jeff

Ooof. I didn’t want to hear your back in the hospital. The other check up sounded encouraging. Get some rest if you can, and hopefully the good Lord will give the Doc’s wisdom to get you feeling better quickly!

Thank You, Lord!!!

I have recovered from this malady the doctor calls, an acute kidney injury!!!

Headed back to my brother's, tomorrow. A physical therapist came to my room, and had me walk, to prove I was indeed doing better. I stood up, (therapists put a large belt around your chest, to hold you or to catch you, if needed). I took off down the hall about 75 feet and came back to my room. HAD NO ISSURS!!!

THANKS again, all!!!

Back to my regular scheduled healing..
