Default Stink Buugs are back

Ahem, The first Stinks bugs are back yesterday, since mid-April. Means to me they are the grubs recently promoted to adults. All Summer showed zero/none/nada stink bug sightings.

So, that spells opportunity to "get em". My notion is the Fall is ideal to prevent the adult Stink bugs from mating and droppong egg/ larve into the soil.

Same observation for the lady buugs, but have not seen them yet.

Who has a working solution?

I've been fighting Japanese beetles for three years now, making slow headway. Scotts Grub-ex is kinda the go to product for any grub based insect, but it's got to be used correctly to help.

Those small red beetles will seek the inside of a house, as a colony.

I keep a spray bottle filled with 91% isopropyl alcohol, and spray them when they get inside the house, it pretty much will kill any bug shortly after contact.

The soil at this house is loaded with grubs, but with 4 acres, I doubt I'll be treating the soil to kill grubs to alleviate the problem. We also are lousy with moles/voles due to all the grubs. And the lawn is like driving over a warzone, due to all the mounds and tunnels. It's like being in a paint shaker while mowing the lawn.

If you're getting swarms of them, they're probably Asian Beetles. They're related to lady bugs, but a slightly different variant, and usually more orange than red. Definitely a nuisance...

We have been fighting the moles at this house for about 2 years now. I only have 1 acre. I can say the granulated grub control really does work. It takes away the food source. But 4 acres of coverage would probably run $250.00 or so for material. I also had to use poison worms to kill them off after the grub control. Cut the worms in half and bait the tunnels. Stink bugs are in the house and garages year around. This year hasn't been the worst so far. Spectracide markets a specific stink bug killer. I use that in the garages. My cat traps and tortures them in the house until I pick them up and throw them away. He is really good at locating them and batting them down.

Me thinks that now is the time to prevent Stink Bug mating, before the result becomes grubs. Grub poisons, Attractant traps?

The lady bug (or similar orange/red bug) life cycle is different, per youtube videos. Think i "got em" when i sprayed wasp spray at there colony crouds (in between cinder blocks) last Spring.

Love bugs look like firefly (lightening bug) except don't light up.
They have the female and male 'attached' to each other and swarm around everything. Like a black cloud sometimes.
Usually blind mosquitos are out at the same time. (not seen that many of those yet)

Here's one way to get rid of them.

Thus far only about 1 or 2 stinkbug sightings each day (now) and all outside looking to get in.
