Default 62 Vacuum Trunk Release Question

Does anyone have a picture or scan of a trunk release in a 62 Pontiac?

The other day I picked up a vacuum trunk release off eRape that originally came out of a full size Buick. I was the only bidder at $40.00 + $10.00 shipping from Canada. I saw a picture of one in a 62 Full size Pontiac but that was over 10 years ago. I think the Buick mounting bracket is a little long but it's polished stainless so I can cut it with no problem & polish the edge. I think the trunk pull part is wrong also but I'm sure I have a correct one in my pile of 62 stuff some where.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Here's pics of what I got:

At least the Vac sw is; I think its 65-66 and likely could be moded to work.
The last shot is the 66 Pontiac actuator VS Olds which look like the one you have as well.
I too have never seen an early Pontiac set up so can't offer much more.
I know some of the early big cars also used a pull/cable VS a Vac.

I have nothing to add but 'neat'. My '67 T-bird has the vacuum trunk release option, but the line between the switch and the actuator leaks somewhere.

I have the vacuum trunk release in my '63 Grand Prix (as originally spec'd).

The vacuum actuator shown above looks the same but my switch is quite different (more of a "pull" knob). I don't believe I have any pics handy.

Mine works when using a hand vacuum pump but not with the production setup - seems like the engine doesn't pull enough vacuum to move the plunger.

Matt,
And that could very well be my problem. I saw a 62 with a vacuum trunk release in it that judging by what Jeff posted must have come from an Olds. I A$$umed that it was a factory option. I also now know why I couldn't find any reference to a remote trunk release in my owners manual.

Jeff,
Thanks for the pics and the explination. Between what you, Matt & Keith posted I now realize that a remote option wasn't available on a Pontiac until 1963. Live & learn I guess.
