Hey Don! You wouldn't happen to have a skid plate would you? I just helped my youngest son buy an 06 GTO. Impluse Blue with black interior, six-speed, 37,000 miles. Love this car!

What part do you mean by skid plate? The door sills by chance?

The skid plate covers the oil pan and filter, attaches with four bolts. The oil pan is cast aluminum so an errant rock or road hazard could spell disaster. The factory plate is made from steel. Several vendors offered lightweight versions to reduce the weight by about 10 pounds. Apparently a lot of guys took them off to reduce weight and make oil changes easier. Ours is missing.

Yup totally wrong lol. I know people have 10 different names for the sill, scuff, door plates that run along the door.

Just trying to help
