I was going to say they came with them... But then I read the rest of your post. And I have a wagon. Learn something new every day.

What are you doing for a front bar.

694.1

I assume you are asking in reference to your recently acquired 57? The Fabcraft bar is not designed to work w your leaf spring rear end setup. It's 3/4 in OD......same as the front one on my 1960. The Fabcraft bar is designed to work with 59-64 rear ends on B bodies. Guess the 58 design which is basically the same as 59-60 has mounting / frame dimensions which are the same or close enough to work. Just out of curiosity, doesn't your 57 have a front bar on it? If you can't find another bar that is higher performance, you could always replace the bar mounting bushings and the end link bushings with polyurethane to stiffen things up a bit. For a rear bar, have you looked into the rear bars available for 57 Chevys?

Front bar on the '57 is stock & I would like to go as large as 1" with a stock suspension.
Apparently the '57 Chebby is all it's own but perhaps would adapt? '57 Chev rear springs will not fit a Poncho, yet I suspect that a rear bar could be adapted as well?
It will be April before I am under the car

the bar is 3/4 of an inch and was like 270.00 with shipping,i talked to Dave at fabcraft about a rear bar for my 58 and he said they actually had a few in house that were made quite awhile ago.bar showed up marked for a 1958 and it fit perfectly, sway bar links and brackets included with it ,about 45 minutes to install and i"m set.now to see if it makes a difference? I dont know anything about a 57 but wish you luck.

When you do get around to checking whether the '57 Chevy will adapt, it would be appreciated if you could post your findings. I would really like to put a rear bar on my '57, but it is not easy to do these things here down at the bottom of the world, as they are not readily available to check.

Fab craft are very helpful, they sold me a rear set up for my 59, haven't driven the car yet but I put a similar sway bar in my 62 impala and it made a big difference
