Long Branch question
Hello all. I went and looked at a guys stash the other day and he had a set of OE long branch manifolds. they looked good. The RH unit had the word SAMPLE cast into the side nest to the date code (I277). has anyone seen this before?

Was it possibly pre-production sample? Or could it be the reproduction sample? My understanding is the reproductions are pretty close, with the correct part numbers on them. How do you determine if it is OEM or reproduction?

David, The unit had the heat riser valve in it. I have never seen an after market set with one in it.
Cary, I have had several sets of long branch and a body manifolds and this is the first one I have seen like this.

There are several of them out there - only the D ports have the word Sample in them.
I looked at a set here locally about 10 years ago. BTW - it's the real deal, not a repop and a very cool conversation piece.
