It's the one event each year I set time aside for. We couldn't make it last year, but plan on it this year. I have stayed in hotels and camped at The Lot. My wife doesn't like camping, so she slept in the car and we stayed up drinking by the fire! Camping isn't high on her list, but I think I'll throw a mattress in the truck this year. The Lot is just more fun than going to a hotel.

I hope so... That would give us an extra day to get your car properly decorated.

EXACTLY!!! I see Mike there every year. No bigger PITA person to be found anywhere!

Seriously, been to multiple car shows (even the bigger ones which are cool) and a few drag racing events (like Indy and PITP) and Norwalk is the best hands down. Has a little bit of everything. The only thing you'll be missing after the week is all the sleep you won't be getting!!!! I'm usually dragging a very tired ass back home Sunday night.

For some it almost started to early anyway...

I seem to remember one racer putting something like this on his front window:

2 race

Except for the Dayton Co-Vention last year it has consistently been the best Pontiac event in my opinion every year for the past ten years. The swap area is usually the largest of any Pontiac swap every year, there are several hundred very nice show cars, and there are great drag races - all at one site; and for someone from sweltering Texas the weather there is most enjoyable in August.

No surprises at the gate, you know exactly how much it's going to cost.
Best bang for the $buck.
Drawback, needs to be 5 days.
