Cue the music.....https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v4EFddbHkRo

I'm buying her back - pick up next weekend!

PS, current owner's wife was no longer involved in the pricing of the vehicle.

Cool how these things come back around.

A guy I had doing carpentry for me for a while had these. He would get them for cheap when I think it was the fuel pumps (maybe injectors) went bad on them and I swear he said the engine had to be pulled to repair. He had the routine down, so he would get nice ones and flip them. One of the few cars I like in yellow. I remember when they were new that they were virtually the only hot car made in the US at the time. Fun fun. I guess you'll be making that garage addition sooner rather than later. Enjoy!

Thanks guys - I'm looking forward to having it back even though I'm going to have to buy a REALLY nice 87 to steal all of the good parts off of! Guy had/has a dog he takes with him everywhere - see what I mean? The 3rd & 4th pictures are what it should/will look like!

Mitch, I may be taking you up on the lodging offer - I'll give you a call next week when I know my schedule better. Thanks buddy!

It's mine again! Great to be finally reunited with my first new car! Lots to tell and pictures to load up but I can't tell you how pleased I am at it's condition and that I was able to actually buy it after this guy owning it FOR 14 YEARS! More later but here's a couple pics....

I took it for a quick rip this morning - still the torque monster it was back then. The driveway was a little wet this morning but I was sideways as I turned out onto the street banging second.

Parked for the time being - needs a bath but with the snow coming all I had time for this afternoon was to get the leaves done!

28 Years ago today I ordered this car! It was a good day then & is today as well - it's my son's 20th Birthday.

I washed it a few weeks after I got it home, not bad for all those years!

Almost a year has gone by and I really haven't done much with it other than collect parts and clear out the interior. Will probably get painted over the winter and I'll eventually get the correct interior pieces together to restore it properly.

Here it is with my 91 1LE Z28 and my 83 L69 - all three are 5spds.

Still enjoy this story. Have you gotten any leads on a correct interior?

I've got most of it now, still not perfect seats but should be good enough for a 30 y.o. car.

Thanks for the link but I thin I have everything I need for it at this point.

These are the two interiors I've got, the black one will end up getting sold but I found it first and figured I could go that route if need be. Grey one will be going in this spring.

This is such a great story. You must be so thrilled. Can't wait to see you get the interior in and have it back on the road.
